Testimonials from parents
Teresa Clay and Jarvis Beirne July 2021
Jarvis has been at Treetops for 3 years and went from being a shy 2 year old, who spent all of his time at home with his mum, to becoming a more independent, social and confident preschooler.Treetops has built his confidence and given him the ability to socialise with other children and adults. He has developed his social etiquette such as sharing & taking turns and learnt to respect adults and follow direction. He has learnt many life skills along the way, from learning to drink from a cup and use cutlery to clever techniques for dressing himself. He would come home and want to show us his newly acquired skills. Treetops have been continuously supportive, especially with Jarvis' toilet training routines. We have recently been preparing for school and Treetops have provided us with helpful tips/check lists, whilst also hosting sessions for Jarvis to practice in. This has really helped him gain confidence in performing these tasks. The structure of a Treetops day has helped prepare him for how a school day will be broken down. Tapestry and parents evenings have been amazing, we can see how Jarvis is progressing through the tapestry account and can discuss the observations further at parents evenings. The observations are updated regularly by Ria. The daily Facebook updates give us an insight into Jarvis’ day and allow us to ask him specific questions about his day. Jarvis has become a very independent child who is fully ready for school thanks to the guidance and nurturing of Treetops.

Sofia was shy and unable to stick up for herself when she started at her first Nursery in Kent, and she had definitely taken big steps forwards in terms of confidence before we moved to Essex, but since starting at Treetops in November 2020 Sofia has really blossomed. She is now ultra confident, articulate and already appears to be forming potential leadership skills. A little bit scary given she is not even 4 years old yet. Sofia has always been bright, and in need of stimulation, and Treetops has not only provided her with that which she craved but she has also some wonderful friendships. A big thank you to both the staff and the other Treetops children for preparing Sofia for starting at 'big school' in September!

I will never be able to put in to words how much TreeTops has impacted Amelia.
It has helped her learn, giving her confidence and truly becoming the princess we all know she is!
Thank you so much to all of the teachers on giving her the best start and I will always be so grateful for Ria in helping Amelia go from the scared, sad little girl who didn’t want to leave me to becoming the confident little girl she is now.

Hi there
My name’s Ben, I’m Elwood Grindleys Dad.
Elwood found it quite difficult at first going in and he would get upset. However, since those early days I feel it has been a positive experience for Elwood.
Elwood often talks about the friends he has met, experiences he has had day to day and it has no doubt increased his confidence. Tree tops has been a valuable starting point with regards to education moving forward. Elwood, I’m very proud to say, is a very clever, articulate boy, and tree tops has encouraged and supported this.
Thank you
Ben

Dear Treetops
Even though Sefton had not been at Treetops for that long it feels like he has been there forever. From the the time he started last September he has made to feel very welcome and seems to have fitted in very well feeling very at home there. This is thanks to all the staff creating such a welcoming atmosphere! He seems to have made lots of good friends and is always very keen to go to nursery.
He had gained lots of confidence and he has been able to continue to develop his “cre’arting’” skills that he so loves. Sports week was a big hit for Sefton and he was very chuffed with his medal! Sefton has enjoyed having Annabelle at Treetops, and the way Treetops enables all age groups to mix so well has allowed Annabelle to settle smoothly. Sefton talks about Lisa lots and I think he regards Lisa and lots of the other staff as his friends as well as his peers.
We and Sefton were very impressed that even when we didn’t attend due to the pandemic situation we still had regular calls from Lisa to check in on how we were doing and offer appropriate advice if needed. This is something we did not have access to our previous nursery setting during the first lockdown.
Thank you for everything you have done for Sefton. It has really enabled him to develop in a very positive way and has helped prepare him well for school.
Regards

Treetops has been the most consistent thing in Albies life. He’s known the ladies since before he even started treetops because of his sister. He’s so comfortable there and always at ease. Even on days when Albie hasn’t been the greatest behaved (to put it nicely) they have always done their best with him. I’ve never picked him up and thought he won’t be coming back here. Honestly each and every one of them have been absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t of asked for a better play school for both of my kids. We will be so sad to leave treetops behind and I know albie is going too miss everyone a lot. Thank you for everything xxx

Hello,
Just wanted to write a little bit about Hallies time at treetops. I feel very emotional that the time has come for her to leave!
When she started Hallie was a very shy little girl, she didn’t like to leave us and spent many mornings crying on the door, she liked to spend a lot of time with the ladies and watching other children play, but in the 2 years (excluding lockdowns!!) that she’s been attending she’s absolutely flourished.
She’s gained so much confidence, she’s also gained some lovely friends, she knows the children’s names now and has become so much more independent, it makes me so happy to see her skipping in the door now, she’s come such a long way!
The work you ladies do with them is incredible, Hallie has felt loved, secure and happy throughout her whole time at treetops and we are so grateful to you all for treating her as one of your own.
She’s made some fantastic creations, learnt to share, take turns and play with other children, and although she’ll still be young, you’ve prepared her well for school too.
The activities you set during lockdown also helped her develop and she especially loved watching you all reading stories on a Friday.
We’re so glad we sent her to treetops, especially at the young age of only just 2 it was a big decision but it was absolutely the right one.
Thank you for all you do, and we will see you next year with Louis (hopefully with less tears on the door!)

to me
Most of this I wanted to write to you all in our card but here goes:
At the age of 2 and 5 months Harper walked through your doors. Wearing nappies and nervous. Your friendliness and willingness is what eventually led to her going in with confidence. I will forever be grateful for the fact that you allowed me to come in to the sessions to ease the transition.
Harper was happy to play and always came out with a story and formed great bonds with the teachers.
Then Covid hit. And the good work we had made felt like it had gone to waste. But, your amazing daily activities and videos kept treetops and the front of our minds.
In Harper’s life she’s had a lot of change in the past 18months. New home, mummy leaving work and a new brother But treetops has been there, for her and for me. You really have been a family for us and the biggest gift anyone can give is investing time into their child and you’ve done that.
Harper now speaks about other children, she buzzed about the games you play, she talks about fun time and finger exercises, she explains her day and talks about the daily mile.
You’ve shown her how to be independent and you’ve taught her safe places outside of home exist.
Thank you for making learning fun for her and for getting to know Harper inside and out.
She used to need her mummy to walk her in and now she runs away from her mummy to go in because she’s so excited.
She has grown in confidence and you’ve really prepared her for school. She never has done a lot of sessions but what you’ve done with her with little time is fantastic and I can’t wait to see what you do with Chester when he comes in the future.
She came in as a timid 2 year old and is leaving a confident 4 year old ready to take on the challenges ahead. And that’s because you got to know Harper and me and we worked together at her targets that you set and that’s what it’s about. Working together for the best needs of the child.
Thanks a million - couldn’t have asked for any more.
Lots of love
Natasha
